Early preparedness is the key to success in kindergarten and beyond. Based on theory and research and the principles of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, SJB gives children aged 3 through pre-K the individualized care, social experiences and academic competency they need to become successful, lifelong learners. We do this by facilitating developmentally appropriate, yet challenging environments, as well as by creating positive, supportive relationships with the children and families. Our Preschool curriculum is designed to prepare children to enter kindergarten with confidence, ability and inspiration. Beyond our own specifically designed curricula, we have worked with Head Start since 2003 to offer enhanced preschool services at three of our sites. To date, more than 150 children have benefited from this invaluable partnership.
