Healthy children are happy children. But the majority of the families SJB serves do not have the financial resources to provide their children with regular medical check-ups. Our Preventive Health Services outreach program was designed to help parents fill that gap by making sure all children enrolled at SJB receive:
- Vision, hearing and dental exams
- Height and weight tracking
- Pre-school immunization checks
- Ongoing health monitoring
Believing that prevention is the best medicine, we integrate a health training component into all our programs so that children learn healthy habits and make good choices. SJB also hosts health fairs where parents and guardians can find valuable health-related information and connect with health care providers and resources. The end result is families that are educated, empowered and healthy.
