Child and Adult Care Food Program

The agency provides Kirkland Signature ProCare Non-GMO formula to all infants at no additional cost. The Food and Nutrition Service Program approves special infant formulas for infants with special needs when a physician completes the Physician’s Letter to Decline a Provider’s Infant Formula form. For older children, any allergies or dietary restrictions must be documented in a physician’s letter or on the Medical Statement to Request Special Meals and/or Accommodations form. Families can request a food substitution for non-medical reasons such as a religious belief or to accommodate a vegetarian diet. SJB is a nut free agency. As such, the Food and Nutrition Program audits the nutrition labels every six months to identify all the allergens served in the food program.

Breakfast, lunch, and PM snack are provided at no additional cost for all children present during those meal times. Menus are provided monthly for our family’s convenience. Lunches consist of items from all the following groups: a) dairy/milk b) fruit c) vegetable d) grain e) meat or meat alternative.

Outside foods are occasionally allowed to be brought in as a part of center related functions. Regardless of whether these foods are to be consumed by adults or children, any outside food must be pre-approved by the Site Supervisor and cannot contain tree and ground nuts. Other restrictions may also be applied.
