Vince Tran joined SJB's Board of Directors in 2021. Having dedicated his career to serving in public education, he continues to seek opportunities to meaningfully contribute to the critical work of ensuring equal access to educational resources for all children. He taught in the classroom for many years and has experience in K-12, as well as higher education in districts and institutions throughout the South Bay. He currently works at the Santa Clara County Office of Education where he serves as Manager of Security, Network and Systems Engineering. His responsibilities include supporting the technology of the County's 31 school districts and County office programs, such as Head Start, while working to evolve the technology infrastructures which form the foundations of the modern classroom and learning experience. He received his Master of Public Administration from San Jose State University, where his work focused on digital divide issues in Santa Clara County. He has also served on and chaired the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee for the East Side Union High School District for 6 years. Vince's investment in SJB is also very personal, as he was a proud SJB parent of two former students of the program. He is excited to offer his technology expertise and public service experience to the agency to help continue its work in providing high-quality, affordable childcare to the community.
